ALVECHURCH scored four goals on the road for the first time this season as Church claimed a 4-2 win at bottom club Long Eaton United.
Goals from Yaw Ofosu, Ethan Patterson and Jaanai Gordon put Church in command before Kartell Dawkins struck late on to seal the points at Grange Park.
And the result means Alvechurch have moved up to 14th in the Southern League Premier Central table after stretching their unbeaten run to four matches.
The visitors broke the deadlock on 23 minutes when Ofusu finished at the second attempt from close range after Long Eaton failed to deal with Nick Clayton-Phillips’ corner from the left.
And Church doubled their lead six minutes later as Patterson fired a first time effort in off the underside of the crossbar to finish off a flowing move from Clayton-Phillips’ pass.
James Fry’s side extended their lead on 50 minutes when Gordon exchanged passes with Josh Dugmore before coolly finding the net.
Long Eaton eventually reduced the deficit on 68 minutes as substitute Andy Mandjoba cut in from the right before curling an excellent shot past Ronnie Hollingshead at the keeper’s near post.
And the home side struck again nine minutes later when Owen Betts squared the ball into the path of Mandjoba who applied the finish from inside the box.
Church secured the points on 81 minutes as substitute Dawkins drilled a low shot past Ross Durrant from 25-yards out via the aid of the left-hand post.
Alvechurch are next in action against Redditch United on Monday, February 12 in the semi-finals of the Worcestershire Senior Cup with kick-off at 7.45pm at the Valley Stadium.
