ALVECHURCH have signed defender Nathan Kelly from league rivals Halesowen Town ahead of the 2023/24 season.
Kelly helped the Yeltz gain promotion to the Southern League Premier Central last season via the play-offs.
That came following a spell with Coventry United and the defender hopes Church will be fighting for top-five finish this coming season.
Kelly said: “The setup is good, it was a hard first session of pre-season but hopefully we can kick on and have a good season.
“I’m a centre-half, I’ll head it, kick it and try and play out from the back, I’m just a solid defender.
“Hopefully, we can do as well as we can, whether that is going up in the play-offs or getting as far in the other competitions as we can.”
Kelly came through the youth ranks at Birmingham City and a had a three-month loan spell at then National League North side Kidderminster Harriers during his time with Blues.
A spell with Solihull Moors would follow as well as loan moves to Leamington and Redditch United.
The 27-year-old also spent time with Sutton Coldfield Town, Leicester Road, Nuneaton Borough and Worcester City before signing for Halesowen in December 2021.
