DEFENDER Aksum White has been confirmed as Bromsgrove Sporting’s latest signing.
White is returning to the club where he played the majority of the last season before joining fellow Southern League Premier Central side Barwell earlier this year.
Speaking about his return, White said: “I’m delighted to be back at Bromsgrove – a club full of wonderful people and great fans.
“I’m excited to work with the new gaffer and management team, who will help me get the best out of myself so that it’ll hopefully be a successful season ahead.
Manager Paul Smith added: “Aksum has started pre-season with us and has really impressed.
“He’s fit, hungry and desperate to do well, so I’m looking forward to seeing him back in a Sporting shirt.”
Smith added he hoped the supporters would join him in welcoming White back to the Bromsgrove.
Players could only be signed from Monday (July 1). Sporting have retained Jack Newell for the forthcoming season, along with Luke Rowe, Billy Shaw, Keanu Cooper and Aaron Roberts. They all played for the Rouslers last season and are back on board.
Smith told the Standard he hoped to make further signings before the season kicked off.
