BROMSGROVE Sporting have announced the return of former defender and record appearance holder Aaron Roberts ahead of the 2023/24 campaign.
Roberts departed Hellenic Premier club Worcester City last week and makes the jump from step five to step three of the non-league pyramid.
And the former Worcester captain is delighted to return to the Rouslers where he made 235 appearances during a trophy-laden spell before his departure in 2019
Roberts said: “I’m absolutely buzzing to be back.
“The ride I’ve previously been on with the club, during the most successful period of its journey, bring me the best memories in football.
“The fan base and I have always had a great relationship and I left in a way that felt like unfinished business.
“I want to be a part of the new era in a league that is stacked full of big matches which will entice big crowds to join us.
“I can’t wait to get back to the Victoria Ground and show my best for the club, it’s time to create a feel good factor around the club again.
“As a club we should be aiming for those top positions, the ground and the fan potential make us one of the biggest in the league.
“It’s a case of getting the club united again and seeing where that takes us in a very competitive division, it’s a pleasure to be back.”
