FAIRFIELD Villa have announced the departure of Gareth Parfitt who has joined fellow Midland League Division Two side Hampton.
Parfitt has struggled to get much first team action, spending most of his time on the bench, and goes to a Hampton side that currently sit 11th in the table.
Villa’s general manager Paul Oakes said: “We waived the seven day approach by Hampton so that Parfitt could get the transfer.
“He’s in the latter stages of his career now so he’s on the lookout for more first team opportunities.
“We wish him well in his new ventures but we will not be looking to replace him.
“I am more than happy with the squad at this moment in time.”
