BROMSGROVE Sporting will begin their FA Vase campaign with a tricky second round tie at Sporting Khalsa.
The Rouslers, who reached the semi-finals of the tournament last year where they lost 2-1 on aggregate to eventual runners-up Cleethorpes Town, make the trip to their fellow Midland League Premier Division opponents on Saturday, November 11.
The game is to be played at the Castlecroft Stadium, home of AFC Wulfrunians, as Khalsa’s Aspray Arena is scheduled for upgrade works.
However, if Wulfrunians win their first round replay tie at Leicester Nirvana tomorrow (Tuesday), Sporting’s game could be rescheduled.
Willenhall side Khalsa were knocked out of the Vase in the quarter-finals last term, that coming in a 2-0 defeat to Coleshill Town who lost in the semi-finals to tournament winners South Shields.
Having missed out on a historic day out to Wembley last season, Paul Smith’s Rouslers will certainly be hoping to go one better this time around.
But Khalsa themselves will be eyeing to go further and with both clubs well supported, a huge crowd is likely to be in attendance.
This will be the second time the two sides have met this season, the first coming in a 1-1 draw at the Victoria Ground in September.
