GOLFER Lili-Rose Hunt has every reason to celebrate, after being crowned the Worcestershire and Herefordshire 2019 Junior Girls’ County Golf Champion.
Hunt, who attends Bromsgrove School and regularly plays at Droitwich Golf Course, came out on top at the tournament after recording a gross score of 110.
Due to the intense heat, the Championship, held at Kings Norton Golf Club, was reduced to 27 holes, but that did little to stunt the progress of the junior golfer.
It continues a promising year for Lili-Rose, who back in May was invited to the Ladies’ European Tour Girls’ Golf Rocks day at Buckinghamshire Golf Club, where she met players from the professional tour and took part in skills challenges.
Hunt was one of just 36 girls from the UK and Europe last year to qualify for the final of the Junior European Open Golf Championship held at the Alcaidesa Links Golf Resort in Cadiz, Spain.
