Butler at the double to guide New Woodland Cottage to 8-4 victory

RYAN BUTLER scored twice and turned in a man of the match performance to help New Woodland Cottage to an 8-4 victory over SO Goose Greenlands.

The win lifted NWC into second place in the Redditch & South Warwickshire Combination and came thanks to goals from Adam Crombie (2), Butler (2), Aaron Bates, Nigel Davenport, David Sanders and Aaron Brough.

Aiden Jones, Jack Darby, Luke Rennie-Jeffries and Eliott Weston netted for Greenlands.

Beoley Village went into Sunday’s fixtures second in the table but were beaten 3-2 by South Redditch who struck late to seal victory. The victors’ man of the match was Lea Styles for his outstanding centre back performance.




Brain Carr, Gilsseman and Gaffney scored for South Redditch, with Ryan Richards and Reeves netting for Beoley.

CBH Fasteners took their goal tally into double figures after three matches as they defeated Studley Swan 4-2, with Morrall (2), Parish and an own goal doing the damage. Thomas Hawkins-Daniell and Ibby Aklaq were on the mark for Swan.


Redditch Town maintained their 100 per cent record with three wins out of three as they defeated SCC Redolence 2-0 thanks to goals from Nathan Print and Phil Sargent.

Shakespeare Studley suffered another loss, this time 7-0 to Golden Cross AFC for whom Wilkes scored a hat-trick and Malcolm Whitehouse and Tobias Teague also registered.

AFC Lions and Redditch Cross as Richard Tyler and James Priddle were the respective scorers.
