MEADOW PARK were crowned champions of the Bridgwater Cup after they claimed a comprehensive 5-0 victory over Hizza United at Bromsgrove Sporting’s Victoria Ground.

In front of a 427-strong crowd, Park rose to the occasion as two own-goals and strikes from Max Crisp, Sean Chance and Robert Southwell ensured they claimed silverware.

Alcester Town are through to the final of the Premier Cup following their 5-2 victory at WCT Youth Raiders thanks to a double from top scorer Ellis Kalach and singles from Jamie Gifford, Lewis Marston and Aaron Xavier.

AFC Northfield reached the semi-finals of the Division One Cup as goals from Luke Dugmore and Matthew Kenny secured a 2-1 victory.




Bartley Green Illey Sunday will join Northfield in the semis after cruising to a 4-1 victory over Conway Albion thanks to goals from Ryan Gardiner, Connor Collins, Carl Martin and Dan Lawrence.

Awkies Allstars booked their place in the Worcester Nursing Minor Cup final by beating FC Korono but needed penalties to do so after 120 minutes of football saw the scores locked at 0-0.


Allstars won 4-3 on penalties.

AFC Millfields crashed out at the second round of the Evesham Hospital Minor Cup after slumping to a 3-2 defeat to Cropthorne.

Stuart Hatfield and Ashley Roland got on the scoresheet for Millfields.

Rubery Athletic moved to the third round of the Evesham Hospital Junior Cup with a narrow 3-2 victory over Perrywood courtesy of goals from Jack Berry, Martin Byfield and Reiss O’Connor.

Bromsgrove United failed to progress into the next round as they were defeated 2-1 by Evesham and District League outfit Alcester Town.

Elsewhere, the LMS Shield Group D clash saw Wychbold RBL welcome Belbroughton Athletic with the visitors claiming a 2-1 win.

In Division One of the Bromsgrove & District League, league leaders Chaddesley Corbett cemented their position at the top with a routine 4-0 victory over GLA.

Northfield Athletic remain one point off the leaders following their narrow 4-3 victory over Spa Athletic thanks to a Joshua Moore hat-trick and strike from John Myrie.

Division Two leaders Rednal Social Club extended their lead at the top to four points after enjoying a 5-1 victory at Rubery Juniors.

Connor Wilson netted twice for Rednal with Oliver Pugh, Bradley Murrihy and Steve Cumberton.

Woodgate Valley notched up double figures against winless – and pointless – Bridgfield as they romped to a 10-5 victory.

Jamie Sippetts and Jake Wicketts bagged hat-tricks for Valley, Josh Fergusson bagged a brace with Sam Varney and Alex Griffiths-Hughes rounding off the scoring.

Luke Hancock netted three for Bridgfield, while Kieran Cook and Ricardo Manouchehri also netted.

Hewell secured a narrow 2-1 victory over Sporting Club Redditch while Chaps United won by a similar scoreline over Bromsgrove Brentnal.

In Division Three, Stoke Sporting Reserves and Bromsgrove Corinthians played out a six-goal thriller with both teams claiming a point in a 3-3 draw.

Alex Beck, Tom Mason and Edward Tear netted for Corinthians.

Callowbrook Swifts Green secured a routine 5-0 victory over Arrow Valley while the other game in the division saw Stoke Prior beat Laburnum 3-1.
