Bromsgrove School student Osborne shines at British Summer Nationals

SAM OSBORNE is celebrating after he walked away with two gold medals and one silver at the British Summer Nationals in Sheffield.

The 15-year-old, who lives in the Regal Gardens off Worcester Road and attends Bromsgrove School, started swimming at the age of seven with Bromsgrove Swimming Club. Osborne then joined Wyre Forest Swimming Club and now currently trains with City of Birmingham.

Success in the Summer Nationals came as he clinched gold in the 400 metres and 1,500m freestyle events, plus a silver medal in the 200m freestyle.

Osborne also represented England for the Energy Standards 4 Nations meet in Venice which featured Italy, Russia and Germany.




He said: “I am very pleased with the progress I have made this year.”
