TWO of Bromsgrove School’s netball teams are set to shine at the National Netball Finals after impressive showings in the regional qualifiers.
Bromsgrove’s first team and U14 side will head to the biggest competition in the schools’ netball calendar on Saturday, March 14 at Stanborough School in Welwyn Garden City, following strong performances as hosts last weekend.
The unbeaten first team won every match in their pool with relative ease, before seeing off Rugby School 13-4 in the semi-finals and Wrekin College 10-5 in the final to be crowned West Midlands champions.
An equally impressive run was recorded by the under-14s, who won every pool game before beating Bablake School 12-7 in the last four.
While an extra-time loss followed against King’s Worcester in the final, after an 8-8 stalemate in the regulation period, the School have still qualified for the nationals as silver medalists.
