BROMSGROVE triathlete Sam Boswell added to her comeback win at the Hereford Duathlon by placing as the first female across the line at the Worcester Lakeside Double Triathlon.
She completed the course by smashing the record time by over 11 minutes, completing the double triathlon in just over three hours and nine minutes.
The race consisted of a 1500m lake swim, followed by a 60km rolling bike course and a 10km off-road run to the finish.
Boswell, sponsored by Elliott Nash Ltd, spoke of her preparations leading up to the event, and said she thoroughly enjoyed partaking in the course.
“I was concerned with my reduced training and hadn’t been in open water this year prior to the event.
“The drive over showed a temperature of three degrees, and racking the bike in transition there was frost on the ground.
“But the sun came out and Worcester Triathlon club put on a great day.
“The marshals were so friendly and helpful it made for a brilliant event with a great atmosphere, so I can definitely recommend the race.”
