Bromsgrove swimmers deliver at the Worcestershire County Championships

BROMSGROVE Swimming Club made a strong showing at the Worcestershire County Championships recently, as their swimmers delivered silverware.

Thirty-two swimmers from the club participated across 210 events at the Championships – which took place over the course of three weekends.

Their final haul stood at an impressive 11 gold, 19 silver, and six bronze medals, a fantastic return considering the numbers taking part from the club compared to its competitors.

Krystof Wood was the overall top boy, and the highest scoring swimmer overall, earning him a trophy presented by the president of the Championships – Anne Pollard – last Thursday.

Head coach Matthew Lowe was over the moon with the club’s showing, and the personal achievements of its swimmers.

“For such a small, inclusive club, the results from the County Championships are truly outstanding, not only in terms of medals won, but also the number of finals our swimmers made and the number of personal best times achieved.”

Bromsgrove Swimming Club welcome swimmers of all ages and abilities to join, with more information available at www.bromsgrovesc.co.uk
