Bromsgrove set to play host to international cricket next week

INTERNATIONAL cricket is coming to Bromsgrove next week, when Bromsgrove Cricket Club host several matches of the Physical Disability Cricket World Championship.

The club are hosting four matches in all, on Tuesday (August 6) and Friday (August 9), with free admission and parking, and the bar at St Godwald’s Park providing refreshments on both days.

India v England (11am) kicks off the action on Tuesday, before Afghanistan v Pakistan (3pm) meet later in the day.

On Friday, India and Pakistan (11am) do battle, followed by England v Bangladesh (3pm) to conclude the set of fixtures.

Bromsgrove Cricket Club are also set to play host to the International Police Cricket Carnival the following week, in the seventh edition of the event.


Players from the New York Police Department (NYPD), Toronto Police, Sri Lanka Police and the New South Wales Police Force are to do battle, when heading to Bromsgrove on Monday August 12 and Friday August 16.
