BROMSGROVE’S Mixed D team have secured their Herefordshire and Worcestershire Winter League Division Six East status for an another year following their 4-0 victory over Bewdley D.

Captain Whitmore said: “it was looking grim for most of the season but the way the squad has responded to get these final two great victories to avoid relegation is fantastic.”
Elsewhere, the Ladies A remain in third place in Division One following their 4-0 victory over Pershore A.
The opening round went to Bromsgrove without any problems as they powered into a 2-0 lead.
Rachael Mak with Imogen Sinclair won 6-2, 6-4 while Tina Manning with Sally Franks had a comfortable 6-0, 6-1 win.
