BROMSGROVE’S Mixed C team secured a 4-0 victory over Bewdley C in Herefordshire and Worcestershire Summer League Division Four East, writes Will Scarle.
Voitek Niedzwiedz teamed up with Di Inchley to win both rubbers without dropping a set.
It was the same story for pairing Linda Woolley and Trevor Errington producing a clean sweep and maximum points for the team.
The win puts them just behind the promotion spots but with a match in hand over the teams above them.
In Division Five East the Men’s C team had a tough encounter against Wall Heath B.
The 5-1 defeat didn’t really reflect how close the match was with a number of tense three-set battles.
Max Feltham and Ian Pidgen secured the single rubber and 2 points for Bromsgrove.
Elsewhere, the Ladies C team are finding life in Division Four East tough.
Despite going down to Pershore B 4-2, the four points gained helped consolidate their position out of the relegation zone.
Isabelle O’Connor and Connie Wedelich took a rubber as did Alison Douglas and Claudia Bullock.
