BROMSGROVE Ladies C finished their Herefordshire and Worcestershire Winter League Division Four East campaign off in style with a convincing 4-0 win against Boughton Park.
The Worcester-based team were no match for the Bromsgrove pairs of Joan McGregor with Lin Woolley and Ann banner with Di Wilson.
Both won all their contests emphatically without dropping a single set.
The win keeps them in the runners-up promotion spot.
Captain McGregor said: “The victory today puts pressure on the chasing pack who still have some games to play.
“Whatever happens it’s been a great winter campaign with the whole squad playing some good tennis.
“We’ll now wait and see if anyone cane pip us for promotion.”
It was more straightforward for the Men’s F team in Division 11 East as they were given a walkover against unbeaten league leaders David Lloyd Dudley C.
Dudley failed to arrive for the start of the match and when they did turn up, three hours late, it was clear they had got the wrong start time.
