BLACK HORSE won a dramatic semi-final clash with Bartley Green Owls on penalties to advance to the BRS Shield final, where they will meet Austin Ex Apprentices.

A 1-1 draw in normal time was decided by a shootout, with Black Horse coming out on top 4-3, whilst Austin Ex Apprentices saw off Rubery Sunday Juniors 4-2 – with Tyrell Isaac and James Parker the Rubery scorers.

It caps off a good week for the club, having beaten Bromsgrove Corinthians 4-0 last Thursday.

Shane Benjamin, David Edwards, Sean Brain and Janny Dinanga were the goalscorers.

In Division 1, Bromsgrove Corinthians put Hizza United to the sword in a 5-1 thrashing, thanks to a Scott Taylor brace and goals from Adam Holland, Connor Wilson and Jordan Hartley.

Winyates edged a 4-3 thriller against Chaddesley Ravens, with David Phelan, George Adams, Jordan Porter and Kieran Madden all finding the net en route to three points, which takes them up to seventh in the league.

In the midweek games, James Ward struck a double whilst Ryan Casey also got in on the goalscoring act for Hawthorns in an eventual 3-1 win over Kings Heath Albion.

Over in Division 2, Shay Palmer struck a hat-trick to help Broughsons down Chaddesley Pensioners, with Josh Carter also finding the net.

Broughsons followed up the win with a 2-2 draw against Solihull Moors Sunday on Tuesday night, after the Moors edged Cofton Old Boys in a friendly on Sunday.

Quinton Athletic racked up an 11-0 victory away to South Birmingham as they put on a devastating display of clinical finishing to blow away their opponents – mirroring the difference in quality between the league leaders and bottom-placed hosts.

Matthew Carter struck four, whilst Anton Gardner-Bennett hit a hat-trick, added to by Darryl Foster, Matthew Carbery, Michael Stewart and Jordan Walters strikes.

Millfield Rovers romped to a 4-1 victory over lowly Stoke Prior in Division 3, with Ashley Roland, Shaun Nash, Kieran Cook and Luke Rees-Stephens all finding the net for the away side.

British Memorial beat Redditch United Sunday 3-0 in the only other result in the league on Sunday.
