BROMSGROVE Bears under-15 girls’ basketball team rounded off a remarkable first year by winning the play-off championships to finish the season as undefeated league champions.
The Bears won all six of their league games in the Youth Basketball League this season before defeating Team Wolverhampton Slam in the championship finals.
Bromsgrove thrashed Wolverhampton 53-25 in the final having beat CoB Rockets 48-39 in the semi-final.
The girls train at Colmers School and Sixth Form College on Bristol Road South in Rednal and came together in May 2021 to form the first all-girls team in the area for a number of years.
And the team will now look forward to continuing their journey in Basketball England’s National League West Midlands division for the 2022/23 campaign.
