BUSY weekend for Barnt Green Tennis Club as the Mixed A, Men’s C and Ladies B were all involved in action with each experiencing different degrees of success.
The Mixed A team enjoyed success as they claimed a 3-1 victory over Droitwich A in Division One.
James Hodges and Rachel Scott teamed up to win one of their two games, while the pair of Jane Hampson and James Flynn secured the final two games.
In Division 11, the Men’s C team dug in hard to earn a 2-2 draw against Bromsgrove F.
Dave Taylor and Will Scarle teamed up well to clinch the first two matches, but Alex Warren and David Llewelyn fared no better as they lost both of their matches.
However, as the pair won enough games, Barnt Green took the spoils overall.
Elsewhere, the newly-formed Ladies B team moved clear at the top of Division 11 after a comfortable 3-1 victory over Far Forest.
Linda Garvin and Chris Miles won both of their games in straight sets, while Sarah Morgan and Debbie Warren won their first match but had to surrender their second, despite being a set up, after Morgan picked up an injury.
