Austin Ex Apprentices maintain flying start with victory over Meadow Park

AUSTIN Ex Apprentices remain the early Bromsgrove League Premier Division pacesetters following their 3-1 victory over Meadow Park.

Richard Deeming (2) and Craig Spink got the goals while Liam Molesworth netted for Park.

Pilkington Sunday maintained their 100 per cent start with a 4-3 victory at Highgate Dynamos, thanks to Junior Hewitt’s brace and strikes from Niall Mcillduff and Dan Douse.

Colin Tandy, Lawrence Martin, Carl Martin and Connor Collins bagged the goals in BGIS Fairfield’s 4-3 victory at Black Horse while Rubery United and Red Lion drew 1-1.




James Gifford bagged a hat-trick as Sporting Club Redditch edged past Wycbold RBL 6-5 in Division One.

Harry Sharpe (2) and Joe Shaw completed SCR’s scoring; Aaron Stephens (2), Scott Gaffney (2) and Joe Dolphin were on target for Wychbold.


David Delaney and Joe Haines netted late second half goals to salvage a point for Avenue FC at Sporting Grapevine.

Rory Milbourne and Luke Hanckock had given Grapevine a 2-0 lead.

Meanwhile, a brace from Sean Farrell fired AFC Northfield to a 2-1 victory at Bromsgrove Athletico.

Jason Gibbons netted four goals in Awkies Allstars’ 6-4 victory over Winyates in Division Two.

Chris Fox (2) also scored for Allstars while Jarrell Hepburn (2), Dave Phelan and Devante Tompson netted for Winyates.

The other game in the division saw Studley Lions come from 4-2 down to beat Redditch United Sunday 5-4.

Jamie Hatfield (2), Ben Ellicott, Marc Jovanovic and Steve Dipple were on target for Lions.

Kings Norton Sporting are up and running with a point in Division Three after drawing 1-1 with prison side Hewell.

Royal Eagles are showing no signs of taking off as they were beaten 5-2 by Lickey End Social, thanks to goals from Dominic Ward, Adam Ward, Alex O’Brien, Jed Morris and Will Bacchus.

Meanwhile, Cofton Old Boys maintained their 100 per cent start with a 4-1 victory over Crown Athletic.

Jordan Conway, Joel Francis, Jay Wright and Mark Cooke bagged the goals.

AFC Norton started life in Division Four with an emphatic 10-0 victory at Bromsgrove Raiders.

Ollie Jones bagged a hat-trick, Joe Smith and Harry Garner netted doubles and Luke Bird, Jason Timmington and Craig Williams completed the scoring.

Ash Roland hit a hat-trick in Millfield Rovers’ 3-3 draw with Catshill Veterans while Nick Baker, Martin Bonner and James Browning fired Bromsgrove Academicals to a 3-0 success at Redditch Borough.
