BROMSGROVE and Redditch AC’s athletes took part in the Midland Cross Country Championships held at Newbold Comyn in Leamington.
In the under-20 men’s race, Alex Adams stormed to a fourth place finish with Henry Gibbs further back in 17th.
And in the under-20 women’s age group, Jodie Mawdsley 16th, Lauren Sykes 19th and Esme Ranger 22nd all impressed in a field of 39 runners.
In the senior women’s race, Tasara Freeman 17th, Lisa Thomas 30th, Caroline Warrington 43rd, Faye Stanyard 45th and Liz Vaughan 56th all completed the race.
And in the senior men’s race, Joe Smith 30th, Mark Appleton 56th, Ty Adkins 65th, David Gemmell 72nd, Peter Ball 78th, Brett Elsemote 124th and Andrew Freeman 171st helped the men’s team to a seventh place finish.
Lastly, Joe Smith impressed to finish second in the over-35 category.
