Your guide to the shows at Bromsgrove's Artrix in the coming weeks

NOW pantomime season is over for another year, there are a host of shows heading to Bromsgrove’s Artrix in the coming weeks.

The venue was reopened at the end of last year by The Core after the discovery of RAAC concrete in its Solihull theatre auditorium meant it would be unable to host shows.

Since then, crowds have been flocking back to Artrix as live theatre and music returned to the much-loved centre.

Some shows are sold out already but there is plenty more to catch.

One Night in Dublin – billed as ‘the ultimate Irish night out – takes place at 7.30pm next Saturday, February 3. The show will feature a variety of classic Irish songs, including Galway Girl, Tell Me Ma, Dirty Old Town, The Irish Rover and Seven Drunken Nights. Tickets are £23.50.

Next Sunday, February 4, the Dreamers Dance Academy presents its 2024 production ‘Face The Music!’ Performances of the show, which celebrate the icons of the music world who inspire people to dance every day, are at 12.30pm and 5.30pm and tickets are £14.




Artrix hosts the Legends of American Country Show on Monday, February 5, at 7.30pm. The 2024 tour will showcase highly-acclaimed tributes to Dolly Parton, Johnny Cash, Don Williams, Patsy Cline, Charley Pride, Tammy Wynette, and Kenny Rogers. Tickets are £25.

Shape Of You: The Music of Ed Sheeran comes to Artrix at 7pm on February 9, featuring all the classics from one of the world’s greatest singer-songwriters. Tickets are £23 (£16 for children under 16).


Top tribute Dire Streets, fronted by finger picking guitar ace John Brunsdon, head to Artrix on February 10. Dire Streets will be joined by special guest Steve Wiltshire on sax and flute as they cover a variety of Dire Straits songs. Tickets are £23.

On February 15, Step Inside The 60s will take people back to one of the most renowned music decades with Dozy Beaky Mick and Tich, and The Fortunes. The two-hour spectacular starts at 7.30pm and tickets are £25.

And on February 17, Britain’s Got Talent-winning magician Richard Jones will be at Artrix with ‘Soldier of Illusion’.

The world-class celebrity magician and mind reader has entertained and mesmerised audiences all around the world at events, royal parties and theatres. The show starts at 7.30pm with a meet and greet available at 6pm.

Tickets are £23 for adults, £20 for children and £80 for a family ticket (two adults, two children). The VIP meet and greet tickets are £55.
