STUDENTS from North Bromsgrove High School came together for #HelloYellow to support young people’s mental health.

It was held yesterday ahead of World Mental Health Day today.

The reception was decorated in yellow balloons, sweets were on offer and staff had a yellow goodie bag with a bath bomb in it.

Students played the grand piano and every door in the school had a positive quotation attached to it with a campaign led by the school’s two head students from the sixth-form.

More than £400 was raised for Young Minds UK.

The school also Tweeted pictures throughout the day and the video below.

Assistant headteacher Miss McKenzie, who organised the day, said: “Mental health is so important to everyone and for us at North, when we talk about our North family – it means caring for each other and taking time to smile and be kind.

“I’ve been so impressed with staff and students as the school has been a sea of yellow.”
