SCHOOLCHILDREN across Worcestershire are being given the chance to win a trip to Bletchley Park where the enigma code was famously broken and was instrumental in the Allied Forces winning the Second World War.
Pupils aged nine to 11 will be able to take on six top secret lessons surrounding code cracking, researching and film-making, whilst learning about the history of the Second World War.
Barefoot, supported by BT and Computing at Schools, has helped over 65 per cent of primary schools across the UK engage with computational thinking by providing a host of lesson plans, presentations, posters, ID reward cards, animated films and audio soundtracks.
One particular lesson plan prompts children to create a film storyboard, which they can enter into the contest to enjoy an award-winning learning experience at Bletchley Park and £500 paid towards travel, or alternatively, a discretionary cash prize.
