Worcestershire ramblers meet for first time since pandemic

Bromsgrove Editorial 20th Feb, 2023   0

“IT’S GREAT to meet up with so many friends after such a long absence.”

That was the verdict of one Worcestershire Ramblers member after the group met en masse for the first time since the pandemic.

More than 60 people turned out for the meeting which took place at the Gaudet Luce golf club in Droitwich, last Saturday (February 11) and one local resident said: “It’s a great advert for the town to see so many people of varying ages walking on route to the Droitwich canal; nice to know people feel it’s a good place to enjoy a ramble”

Worcestershire Ramblers comprise five local groups across the county: Wyre Forest, Evesham, Worcester, Bromsgrove and Redditch.

Joining the Ramblers, Great Britain’s largest walking community, gives walk lovers access to all-year-round support, advice and inspiration – online, via social media, and through a quarterly magazine.

If you are thinking about improving your overall fitness both in terms of your physical and mental health you may want to consider being part of a group local to you?
