A WOMAN was punched in the face, spat at and had a drink poured over her during an attack in Rubery.

The victim, a woman in her 40s, was assaulted when she was returning to her parked car.

There was a disagreement between her and a man and a woman in another car on New Road.

The man and woman, who was pregnant, got out of their car – believed to have been a Vauxhall Astra or Rover – and then the man spat food at the victim and the woman threw the drink over her.

It was then she was hit in the face.

It happened on Monday, December 14, at 10.30am.

The female attacker was white, in her 30s and pregnant. She had long dark hair and was wearing a long black coat.

The man was also white, in his 30s, and had goatee beard and brown hair. He was wearing a black top.

PC Christopher Evans urged any witnesses to call police on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
