A TEENAGE girl was approached by two men in a van in Bromsgrove who offered her a lift.

The 16-year-old was walking along Buntsford Hill on Tuesday (April 18) at about 2.20pm when she noticed a white combi van driving slowly alongside her.

The driver spoke to her asking if she wanted a lift, while the passenger laughed throughout the exchange.

The men drove off when the girl met up with her boyfriend.

The driver was a white man in his mid-20s, slim, clean shaven with short dark brown hair, wearing a navy blue jacket with a green/blue logo.

The passenger was a white man in his late-20s, well built with short dark hair and a beard. He was wearing an orange hi-vis jacket.

Officers investigating the incident would like to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time and saw the van or has any information which would help them with their enquiries.

PC Martyn Dudley said: “West Mercia Police takes all reports of suspicious incidents seriously.

“We are keen to speak to the driver of the van to establish his motives, which might have been entirely innocent, or anyone who saw what happened.”

Anyone witnesses or anyone with any information should call West Mercia Police on 101 quoting incident 818s of 18 April.
