Where you can celebrate Bonfire Night in Bromsgrove and Droitwich

THE night sky over Bromsgrove and Droitwich will be illuminated with various bright colours as Bonfire Night approaches.

Bonfire night falls on a Tuesday this year, but there are plenty of events taking place over the coming weekend on November 1-3, and the following weekend on 8-10.

Across the weekend, several events will be held.

Bromsgrove Rugby Club

On November 1, the rugby club is set to host a bonfire and firework display from 5.30pm.

At 7.15 the bonfire will be lit and at 7.45 the display will take place.

There will be street food, a funfair and The Ron Jeremy Band.




Tickets will not be sold at the door so will need to be booked in advance from Skiddle.

Catshill

The event, organised by Catshill Community Events and hosted by Scouts 6th Bromsgrove with sponsorship from Catshill and North Marlbrook Parish Council (CNMPC), is set to take place on Saturday, November 2, on land off Lingfield Walk.


Gates will open at 5.30pm for an evening of spectacular entertainment.

Alvechurch Football Club

Fireworks and food will be held on November 5, at the football club from 5pm.

The display is set to start at 7.30pm alongside a laser show.

Fire breatehrs and dancers, DJs, street food, bars, craft stalls and funfair rides will be available on the night.

There is no parking at the venue and tickets need to be booked in advance.

Droitwich Rugby Fireworks

Gates open at 4pm with firework display at 7.45pm. Live music, a bar and food will be available throughout the night. No parking at the event but there is a shuttle bus will take people from Victoria Square in the town centre between 4pm and 11pm.

Wythall Community Association

This bonfire takes place between 6pm and 9.30pm at Wythall Park. The bonfire will be lit at 6.30pm and the firework display will start between 7.30pm and 8.30pm.

There are also food vendors and funfair rides to keep the children entertained.

Raising funds for Wythall Park, the event includes a bonfire and two fireworks displays and tickets on sale at the community hub.

Stoke Prior Sports & Country Club 

Arrive from 4pm for the build up to a fireworks display themed to James Bond music (7.45pm start) on Saturday, November 9.

Live music from Times Square Duo kicks off at 6pm ahead of the G-Force Fireworks display.

The bonfire will be lit at 7pm, giving visitors loads of time to make the most of the food offerings and activities in the run up to the main attractions.

Stalls include children’s light up toys, clothing/printing, sweet pick and mix, glitter tattoos and more.

Children’s fairground rides include runaway train, tea cups and saucers, bungee trampolines, inflatables and hook a duck.

Limited parking available on site. Visitors advised to walk where possible. No dogs, except guide dogs.

The main clubhouse will be closed to the public. Adults £6.50, children £4.50, under three’s free of charge.
