WESTMINSTER DIARY - 'Keep following the regulations to bring the infection rate down'

Bromsgrove Editorial 27th Nov, 2020

Bromsgrove MP Sajid Javid writes for The Standard.

THE PRIME Minister has announced the current national restrictions will end on Wednesday, December 2, and that we will reintroduce a localised system of strengthened tiers.

During this critical time, I urge local residents to keep following the present restrictions, so we can keep the number of cases down and our community safe.

Since my last column in the Bromsgrove Standard, we have received positive news about not just one ā€“ but three ā€“ possible vaccines to Covid-19. Alongside progress on the roll-out of rapid mass testing, these are certainly encouraging signs in our fight against this virus.

As the first copies of The Standard get picked up, I will be hosting my sixth annual Jobs Fair on Friday, November 27, from 10am to 12pm.

Over 30 businesses and organisations will be offering a total of over 2,000 opportunities for local residents.

Iā€™m determined to support local jobseekers and businesses, particularly during these challenging times.

As ever if I can be of any assistance to local residents, please email sajid.javid.mp@parliament.uk
