WEST MERCIA Police and Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service will go head-to-head in a charity rugby match on Wednesday in aid of the Primrose Hospice.

The event will kick off at 7.30pm at Bromsgrove Rugby Club with admission through donation (£2 minimum).

There will also be a raffle after the match which is being supported by Bromsgrove RFC and Wasps Rugby.

The event is one of three in aid of the Primrose, along with Sam Webster running the London Marathon next month and firefighters carrying out a charity car wash.

Sgt David King said: “It currently costs £1.75million per year to run all of the services which the Primrose offers free of charge and just 16.4 per cent comes from the NHS.

“Please come and help us raise money for a good cause.”
