WITH GCSEs, A-levels and other exams coming to an end, a special Post-Exam Wellness Week is being held in Bromsgrove.

The event, organised at the Wellbeing Tree in Bromsgrove town centre, is for teenagers and runs from June 26 to July 1.

The week-long programme of activities aims to help 16 to 19-year olds unwind and de-stress after a busy exam period, while equipping them with tools for life, and of course having some fun.

Workshops such as jewellery-making, creative writing, henna, breath work and vision boards, providing the backdrop for emotional release, learning coping strategies and looking to the future with optimism.

There will be sessions that allow teenagers to learn how to deal with grief, loss, manage anxiety as well as building confidence for their future challenges.

They will also have the opportunity to learn about the effects of essential oils or herbs while making candles and balms – tools and knowledge which could help them in the coming years of further education or the world of work.

Teenagers can book Individual workshops deigned to enrich or book multiple workshops.

Half-day retreats place the emphasis on day-to-day wellbeing and one-to-one holistic or talking therapy sessions.

The Wellbeing Tree’s practice manager Manie said: “We want to nurture teenagers and provide some space to relax and recharge post exams.

“The week is designed to not only alleviate stress but also provide tools and techniques that will help them as they move on to the next stage of their lives whilst honouring their experiences so far.”

The young people will also be reminded that, whilst results in August are important, they can make smart choices no matter what the exam outcome.

“They deserve this more than anything right now,” added Manie.

Proceeds from the week will be donated to Acorn’s Children Charity.
