WEATHER - How is the week ahead looking for Bromsgrove?

Bromsgrove Editorial 1st Oct, 2023   0

THE WEEK for Bromsgrove, Rubery and south Birmingham will start brightly on Monday, but all that looks set to change in the afternoon, according to the Met Office.

The daytime temperatures – around 16°C and 17°C – are above average but there is a high chance of heavy rain from 2pm – starting at 60 per cent and rising to as much as 90 per cent from 3pm onwards. That heavy rain looks set to continue for the rest of the evening.

The winds will be lighter than they were last week with the gusts barely reaching 11mph to 15mph.

Humidity through the night will be as high as 93 per cent so it could feel quite muggy. The rain is set to fade out around 2am on Tuesday.

Outlook for Tuesday to Thursday:

After the initial rainy night tomorrow (Monday), drier, brighter and fresher weather is forecast throughout the week with sunny intervals and some showers.

It will be breezier on Tuesday with winds then generally turning lighter, and temperatures returning closer to the average for this time of year.

Friday onwards

The long-range forecast, however, suggests temperatures could increase towards 18°C to 20°C with bright sunshine as the weekend approaches – which, of course, would be welcomed.
