Waseley Hills crem ready to stage open day

Bromsgrove Editorial 4th Aug, 2023   0

WASELEY Hills Crem-atorium has issued an open invitation to people to take a tour of the site and its facilities.

The crematorium is hosting the community open day between 10am and 2pm on Saturday, August 5, with people from south Birmingham, Bromsgrove, North Worcestershire and surrounding areas invited to tour the site.

People will be able to check out the facilities, take a walk in the landscaped memorial gardens and meet the crematorium team to learn about the work they do and care they provide.

Visitors can also, if they wish, take a tour of the crematory and see a selection of funeral vehicles.

In addition, visitors will be given the opportunity to help create a large, heart-shaped, piece of art for the crematorium’s waiting room, through a project being led by local artist Lorraine Wright.

They will also be able to take part in a range of other fun and therapeutic art activities, in association with Creative Arts.

Crematorium assistant Claire Montague said: “Our summer open day offers an opportunity for anyone to come and visit our beautiful site and ask any questions they might have, in an informal setting, about what we do here and the support we provide to bereaved families.

“It’s a chance for people to find out about the wide range of farewell services we offer, the care we provide, and the ways in which we work with families to provide services which are uniquely personal to their loved one.

“No appointment is necessary for the open day, and we very much look forward to welcoming local families to our lovely grounds.”
