CHILDREN and staff at Lickey End First School hosted their annual Remembrance Coffee Morning for the community this week.
The children dressed up as part of their topic, completing their learning about the effect the Second World War had on children, including evacuations.
They served cakes, performed poems and recounted wartime memories.
Assistant headteacher Paula Landon said: “It was lovely, this year, to be able to invite the whole community, as we have not been able to in recent years due to Covid.
“Together we all observed the two minute silence and concluded with a community singalong of wartime songs.”
