DRIVERS in Hagley are being warned to be on their guard after a number of vehicle thefts in the past few days.

Between Saturday and Sunday, two grey BMWs were taken overnight after a burglary on Woodland Avenue.

One of the vehicles has the registration number ‘SN21 OHR’ and the other’s was ‘WN18 PGU’.

A white Ford Transit van with the registration number ‘LR08 TWM’ was also stolen without keys from Newlands Close, Hagley, between 9pm on Saturday and 9am on Sunday.

Witnesses or anyone with information should call PCSO White from Hagley and Rubery Safer Neighbourhood Team on 101.

West Mercia Police advised drivers to take a number of steps to avoid becoming a victim of vehicle crime.

Motorists should ensure their cars or Van’s are always locked with all valuables removed.

Alarms and immobiliser should always be set when vehicles are left and drivers should use a steering lock if they do not already do so.

Owners of keyless cars should keep them away from doors and windows and in a Faraday pouch or box or metal tin to prevent the signal from the fob from being captured by potential thieves.
