DRIVERS in Cofton Hackett are being warned to ensure their vehicles are locked after thieves were spotted in the area trying car door handles.
The opportunists walk up to each vehicle and attempt to get in, stealing property if they manage to gain access.
Police officers have been carrying out extra patrols in the area and handing out crime prevention leaflets to residents warning them of the crime.
