Walk in memory of your loved ones with Primrose Hospice

Tristan Harris 18th Apr, 2026   0

RESIDENTS from Bromsgrove, Droitwich and Redditch can remember a loved one when the Primrose Hospice’s popular Memory Walk returns.

The event will take place in the beautiful grounds of Hanbury Hall on June 7 and will bring the community together in celebration, remembrance and hope.

The charity is warmly welcoming walkers of all ages to take part in this special event which was created to honour the memories of loved ones while raising vital funds to support local patients and families.

Participants do not need to have had any previous connection to Primrose Hospice to get involved.

Every person who takes part will receive their own bright yellow Primrose Memory Walk T-shirt, along with a dedication sign to personalise with the name or message of someone dear.

Long-standing volunteer Tony Oldershaw took part in the Primrose Memory Walk in 2025 with his wife Jane.

Tony said: “It was a wonderful day – although we didn’t know anybody else, it was really nice to talk others about their loss and to remember together.”

Walkers can choose between two scenic routes – a gentle accessible stroll or a longer walk of around three miles.

Both routes are designed to be enjoyable and inclusive – perfect for individuals, families, friendship groups and supporters of all abilities.

Well-behaved dogs are very welcome to join the day too.

Registration is £15 per adult and £10 per child or £60 for a group ticket for up to six people.

The 2026 Primrose Memory Walk is proudly sponsored by Thomas Brothers Funeral Directors and is supported by the National Trust which has generously helped ensure this treasured community event continues to grow each year.
