Virtual talk to shed light on the history of Bromsgrove Court Leet

Bromsgrove Editorial 6th Dec, 2020 Updated: 6th Dec, 2020   0

A VIRTUAL presentation on the stunning 821-year history of Bromsgrove Court Leet will take place on Tuesday, December 15.

The talk, organised by the Bromsgrove Society, will shed light on how the Court Leet began and how it has developed over the years.

Today the Court Leet is known for its colourful parade on Fair Day, ale tasting in local pubs and the town crier making announcements in Bromsgrove.

But there is much more to its history which will be revealed on Tuesday evening.

Chair of the Bromsgrove Society, Pat Tansell, said: “I am very much looking forward to this talk.

“We were forced to move our regular programme online this year and have been pleased with the response.

“We always support the Court Leet, so I am interested to learn more about its history.”

Everyone is welcome to watch the free presentation.
