A BROMSGROVE shop has been judged to be among the best independent stores in the country, writes Ben Workman.
Vicky’s Convenience Store and Post Office, Alcester Road, Lickey End, has been included in the Top 100 list by the Independent Achievers Academy (IAA) following an in-store assessment by REL Field Marketing.
The IAA aims to celebrate the continuing success of independent businesses across the UK.
The final shortlist for the IAA’s Top 100 will be announced today (September 9), and will be narrowed down to four finalists in each category.
The winners will be announced at the IAA Gala Dinner on November 27.
Samantha Gunston, Newtrade Media’s head of events, said the list recognised the hard work of independent local shop owners and their staff to deliver brilliant standards, services and experiences for their customers, ensuring their well-deserved efforts did not go unnoticed.
Vicky Onions, who owns the Bromsgrove shop, said: “I’m thrilled to have made the IAA Top 100. It’s fantastic to be recognised for providing a service to our community.”
