UPDATE - Woman arrested on suspicion of drug driving while disaqualified after fatal Belbroughton crash

A WOMAN has been arrested on several motoring offences, following the death of another woman in a fatal crash in Belbroughton yesterday (Sunday).

Around 4:50pm, at the junction of Quantry Lane and Heath End Road, a white Citroen C3 and red Honda Jazz collided.

Despite the best efforts of emergency services, a woman in her 70s, who was a passenger in one of the vehicles involved, was sadly pronounced deceased at the scene.

One man was taken to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital with serious injuries.

A 29-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving, causing serious injury by dangerous driving, driving under the influence of drugs and driving whilst disqualified.
