A TEENAGER has been charged with attempted murder after a stabbing in Northfield.
The attack happened around 12.50am at the junction of Frankley Beeches Road and Bristol Road South, near to the Sainsbury’s supermarket.
Two small triangular tents have been installed within the police cordon, presumably to preserve forensic evidence.
The boy who was stabbed was taken to hospital with life threatening injuries, but is now in a stable condition.
A 15-year-old boy, who has been charged, cannot be named for legal reasons.
He has been remanded in custody and is due to appear at Birmingham Magistrates Court today (Thursday).
The car park at Sainsbury’s on the corner of Frankley Beeches Road and the A38 has also been cordoned off.
A second teenager, aged 17, has been bailed pending further enquiries.
