THE MET Office has upgraded the weather warnings warnings for Bromsgrove, Rubery and south to amber with heavy rain predicted for the next 30 hours.
Forecasters issued the initial yellow warnings yesterday for then, today and tomorrow, along with a, risk of thunderstorms yesterday.
But now, while the yellow warnings remain in place for today, tomorrow (Monday) it has been upgraded to amber. This means the deluge and the dangers will be more severe.
Drivers are warned that spray and flooding could lead to difficult driving conditions and some temporary road closures.
There is a small chance that some rural communities will temporarily become cut off by flooded roads.
There could also be significant delays or cancellations to train and bus services.
And homes and businesses could be flooded, causing damage to some buildings.
The Met Office stresses there is a small chance of power cuts and loss of other services to some homes and businesses.
