POLICE have launched an investigation after a man was stabbed in Northfield earlier this evening.
The incident happened around 7pm in Hoggs Lane and the man, in his 20s, was taken to hospital in a serious condition.
A spokesperson for West Midlands Police said: “We’re in the early stages of our investigation and carrying out CCTV and other enquiries to identify who was involved.
Police cordoned off a stretch of Hoggs Lane near Cheverton Road, Dimsdale Road and Elmdale Crescent.
The pavement was also closed to pedestrians as the pavement is cordoned off.
The road is now back open.
