POLICE have now reopened Churchfields Close in Bromsgrove after the earlier discovery of an unexploded device.
The find – believed to be memorabilia – led to a 100m cordon being put in place and the area being evacuated.
Experts from Explosive Ordnance Disposal attended and then moved the device to a safe location so a controlled explosion could be carried out.
A West Mercia Police spokesperson thanked the public for their patience and understanding while the incident was dealt with.
