A BORDER collie stolen from a van while it was parked at Lickey End Recreation Ground has been found in North Worcester.

Mimi was spotted on CCTV at 5.05am this morning and as Peter Boydell was driving up to search the area, he received the call to say she was safe and contained.

The Blue Merle, grey and white dog is owned by Peter’s wife Becky.

He said: “We are absolutely delighted and want to say a huge thank you to everyone who helped share the appeal.”

It is thought the person who took her will have been from Worcester.

Peter added: “I think because of all the sharing via the media and social media she became too hot to handle and was released.

“The support we have had from everyone has been absolutely amazing.

“Mimi is stressed and tired but otherwise fine after her ordeal and we’re just so happy to have her home.”
