TWO PEOPLE have been taken to hospital after a crash in Hagley involving a car and a motorbike.
It happened around 8.25am on the A456 in between Stoney Lane and Broome.
Two ambulances, a paramedic officer, the Midlands Air Ambulance from Cosford and the BASICS doctor have been sent to the scene.
The male motorcyclist, who is in his 30s, suffered serious injuries and – after receiving specialist trauma care at the scene – he was taken to Birmingham’s Queen Hospital.
The air ambulance crew travelled with the patient to continue treatment en route to hospital.
The motorcyclist’s injuries are of a life-changing nature.
The car driver, a woman, was assessed and had sustained minor injuries.
She was taken to Redditch’s Alexandra Hospital.
West Mercia Police are investigating the collision and have urged anyone in the area at the time who saw anything or who has dash cam footage to call police on 101 or submit it via the website – westmercia.police.uk
