POLICE have launched an investigation after shots were fired during a disturbance in Frankley on Friday night.
Officers were called to groups fighting in Arden Road, around 7.50pm.
One man in his 20s suffered injuries to his shoulder and which are believed to have been caused by a machete. He remains in hospital, but his injuries are not life-threatening.
Shots were also fired during the incident, but no one else is believed to have been injured.
Two men were arrested nearby and have since been released on bail pending further police enquiries.
A West Midlands Police spokesperson said: “We’re speaking to a number of witnesses and in the process of recovering CCTV.
“Extra patrols will be taking place over the coming days.”
