Two masked men, armed with a gun and a hammer, rob Belbroughton service station

A SERVICE station in Belbroughton was robbed at gunpoint by two masked men.

It happened at the Shell on Bromsgrove Road at 10.30pm on Wednesday.

The two men burst in wearing balaclavas and hoodies and brandishing the small handgun and a hammer.

One member of staff was threatened with the gun and a hammer to open the safe.




The robbers were unsuccessful at getting the safe opened but stole alcohol, cigarettes and a small amount of money from the till placing the items in a green bag for life.

They left through the back door of the service station and got into a small vehicle, possibly a Renault Clio, which was parked to the left of the garage with the engine running.


The two robbers were both white men, around 5ft 6ins tall and of average build.

Police are examining CCTV and appealing for any witnesses to call officers on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
