Bromsgrove Editorial 7th Aug, 2024   0

TWO people have been arrested in Bromsgrove following a series of raids to tackle county lines drug dealing.

One male aged 26, and one female aged 21, of an address in Rock Hill, Bromsgrove were arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of class A drugs and money laundering offences today (August 7).

In total, four warrants linked to county lines drug dealing were executed across Kidderminster and Bromsgrove in ongoing efforts tackle the supply of illegal drugs in Worcestershire.

Another male, aged 26, was arrested at an address in Hawfinch Rise, Kidderminster on suspicion of the same offences.

During the search of homes a large quantity of class A and class B drugs were found along with approximately £20,000 in cash.

All three suspects will be held in custody while further enquiries are carried out.

Detective Sergeant David Garner of Kidderminster CID said: “This morning we executed four warrants in Kidderminster and Bromsgrove suspected to be linked to the supply of Class A drugs into our communities.

“Drug dealers prey on some of the most vulnerable people in society and their presence in turn causes more crime such as shoplifting, burglary and anti-social behaviour.

“We are determined to make Kidderminster and Bromsgrove safer places and prevent the harm these drug dealers cause to our local communities, and these warrants show we are listening to our communities and continue to act upon the information provided to us.”

The raids were a collaborative effort by Neighbourhood Crime Fighting (NCFT), Proactive CID, Economic Crime Unit, and Local Policing teams – in response to community concerns around suspected drug dealing.
